Our Safeguarding Team

We care about everyone at St Cuthbert’s Junior School.

If you have any worries or you are concerned about someone else, please come to speak to one of the adults in your class or one of the adults below.

St Cuthbert’s have a team of people who will make sure that you get the help you need. They are called the safeguarding team.

We are all good listeners and will do everything that we can to help you. You can talk to any of us if you are worried about anything.

St Cuthbert's CofE Junior School Safeguarding Statement

At St. Cuthbert’s C of E Junior School we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of our children and we expect all members of staff and volunteers in school to share this commitment.

Our aim is to establish an environment where children feel safe, are encouraged to talk and are listened to when they have a worry or concern. Parents and carers may also contact us when they have a worry or a concern about the welfare and safety of their child. There is a wide range of nurture intervention available in school for children to be part of to help them overcome concerns that may impact on their welfare or safety and may also be a barrier to their learning.

A copy of our Child Protection policy, which is updated and reviewed annually, is available on our webpage along with our information leaflet about Prevent.

The designated safeguarding lead in school is Helen Mullinger and the deputy safeguarding lead is Liz Ramsay, Lisa McLaurie, Helen Singleton. If you have any concerns or worries about your child please come in and speak to us.
