I was out on the playground this morning meeting parents and welcoming children back to school. I was very concerned that the plans that we had put in place were not working as many parents were waiting on the playground until their time for children starting at different times were able to enter. This is something that we must avoid if we want to keep the school open and free from infection. 

Year 3 and 4 – start 9.00am and finish at 3.25pm

Year 5 and 6 – start at 8.45am and finish at 3.10pm

• Parents must bring their children at the time stated for their year group. Please do not arrive early. 

• If you are early, please wait in your car or outside of school grounds where you are able to keep distance from other more easily. 

• Parents must leave the playground immediately after their child has gone into school. 

I am aware that some of the start times clash with starting times for parents of children who attend the infant school. We are aware of this and your child will not be marked late. The register will remain open until 9.15am in order for you to drop off at the infant school and then drop off over here. 

I hope that you will support us in our plans and keeping everyone safe and infection free.
