Covid Cases in School

Helen Singleton • December 2, 2021

I would like to inform you that we have had several positive cases of Covid-19 in school. I understand that many of you will feel very anxious about this but Government guidance is that school will remain open to everyone and those who have been in close contact with this person have been notified.

I am asking that you are vigilant with any symptoms your child may develop.

If you are at all concerned about symptoms that your child is displaying, please do a lateral flow test and if this is positive book a PCR test and inform the school.

The current guidance for amber schools is as follows

Households and siblings of confirmed cases should take daily LFT and can continue to come to school unless their LFT test is positive.

If the child is unwell or has symptoms they should not attend school and use daily LFT if those tests are negative for Covid the child should wait 24 hours post fever before returning to school.

Our aim is to keep our school open for all of our children. At the moment we have several positive cases and if everyone remains vigilant and careful, hopefully we can keep cases at an absolute minimum.

With thanks for all of your continuing support,

Helen Mullinger
